چکیده

SUMMARY Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia are the two most common types of dementia. It becomes difficult to distinguish between two, especially when there no specific genetic causes or changes apparent. The aim this review was identify biomarkers supporting diagnosis by conducting a literature search for systematic reviews observational studies. We found seven studies meeting our inclusion/exclusion criteria, from these we identified four dementia: high levels thyroid-stimulating hormone, lipoprotein(a), homocysteine N-terminal prosomatostatin. However, were small well-conducted study with larger populations is recommended strengthen evidence base.
